Sneakerology 101 x Reebok Reverse Jam

If you were torn between going to a few different colleges and you found out that one of them offered a class on sneakers, it might make that decision a little easier for you. It so happens that Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Mellon University has a class called Sneakerology 101 that explores various aspects of sneaker culture like sneaker history, marketing, production and more. People are starting to take notice of this forum for higher sneaker education, and now Reebok has become the first company to step up and do a collaboration shoe with Sneakerology 101.

The Reebok Reverse Jam has received a scholarly new makeover with several classroom-inspired elements used in the design. A Slate Nubuck upper serves as the blackboard, with yellow accents representing the chalk and a Wool Felt tongue as the eraser. Additional red accents on the outsole and laces are a nod to Carnegie Mellon’s school colors. The class logo appears on the upper section of the heel with additional Sneakerology 101 shout-outs printed all over the plaid insoles. Fittingly, 101 pairs of these kicks will be available at the Kicksburgh public event that the class has organized for April 15th. Proceeds from the Sneakerology 101 Reebok Reverse Jam will go to the Hill House Association, a local non-profit group that provides educational youth programs in the Pittsburgh area. via Hypebeast.

Nike Zoom Kobe IV - Think Pink

Back in January, we showed you Nike’s Think Pink pack, which featured solid pink colorways of the Hyperdunk and Blue Chip. The shoes were created in conjunction with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund to raise money and awareness for the war on breast cancer. Sadly, Yow recently passed away after several bouts with the disease and now Nike is honoring her memory with another Think Pink model. This time, its the Nike Zoom Kobe IV that receives the Think Pink treatment. The shoe features a solid pink upper with minimal white highlights and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund logo on the heel. There is no word yet if these will be released for retail, but we will keep you posted. The original Think Pinks dropped at House of Hoops, so it wouldn’t be out of the question to think these might show up there soon. via NT.

Vans Vault Plaid Pack - Sk8-Hi Cup + Chukka Boot Cup

Recently, we’ve seen a bunch of Vans models with sections of plaid material, like the Aion LX and the Solebox Old Skool. Now the pattern is applied to two of Vans most beloved models. The Vans Vault has opened up once again to reveal new plaid versions of the Sk8-Hi Cup LX and Chukka Boot Cup LX. Both models are available in two colorways. One color combo features rich brown leather with the rest of the upper constructed of a plaid fabric with muted overlapping shades of red, blue, black and white. The other colorway is black on black, causing the plaid sections to become much more subtle and appear to create the illusion of texture rather than a pattern. Both colorways of both shoes feature a white midsole and tonal laces. Expect these to hit select Vans retailers this spring. via HighSnobiety.

adidas Originals By Originals Jeremy Scott Fall 2009 Footwear Preview

We get an early look at the upcoming adidas Originals by Originals Jeremy Scott Fall 2009 footwear collection and the designer as usual thinks outside the box. The wing sneakers return and other high tops with a large tongue coming out of them have been added. There is also an interesting style featuring a double tongue. Jeremy Scott’s designs are not for everybody, but we all knew that before. Via adiFans.

Nike Hyperize + Air Max Assault - Holiday 2009

Nike Basketball is killing it as usual, innovating in terms of style and function with each new release. Two of their upcoming models pay tribute to the Nike Basketball legacy by building off of classic designs. In the case of the Hyperize, which we have already previewed, the inspiration is from the Hyperdunk, which is not a very old sneaker, but definitely became an instant classic as soon as it first dropped a few years back. The other updated style is the Air Max Assault, which modernizes the original Air Assault design with an Air Max upgrade and some other minor tweaks. Nike Dunk Hi Supreme Electro Pack

The Nike Dunk Hi Supreme Electro Sneaker Pack consists of two Nike Dunk Hi’s. They come in fluorescent yellow and orange, both sneakers featuring a texturing nylon mesh upper and a tape finish. The white mid-sole and gum outer sole are a nice finish. The Nike Dunk Hi Supreme Electro Pack is now available at Hanon.

The Reebok Pump Omni Lite sneaker comes in a new outfit this season. The classic basketball sneaker sticks to classic colors this way, something we do not see anymore very often from Reebok. The Kicks blue/orange colorway is featured on the upper, which comes in a mix of leather and mesh.

The Reebok Pump Omni Lite “Knicks” will be released in VA on April 11th.
