Nike Retro Air Max Fall 2009 Preview

Nike’s Fall 2009 retro Air Max line is look pretty nice with solid colors for a number of the classics. The Air Classic BW will make a nice come back with two colorways inspired by the Air Safari 87 and utilizing a small amount of the Safari Pattern. The Air Structure Triax 91 comes in two flavors as well and in nice Fall colors and nice patterns. A surprised is the Air 180 Aquamarine colorway’s return, but this would be nearly 3 years since the 3 Decades of Cushioning release. A sure hit will be the Air Max 1 in a purple safari colorway which has hints of the Viotech Air Max 1 for several years back. Via chajinyoung.com

Nike Air Tailwind ‘92 + Air Structure Triax - Spring/Summer ‘09

The Air Structure Triax features a combination leather/mesh upper in off-white and aqua with black and magenta accents. The Air Tailwind ‘92 model also sports some vivid colors, splashing large sections of the shoe with bright blue and yellow atop the white base. Nike Air Max 1 - Moon Landing 40th Anniversary

Nike often refers to pop culture in its limited edition releases, but this one honours the 40th anniversary of one of the most inspirational achievements in the entire history of mankind. Whether they’re a ’small step for mankind’ is more dependent upon your own stride, but there’s no question that this new pair of Nike Air Max 1s does a nifty job of achieving its lunar landing theme. The upper is comprised of mostly black leather with touches of quilted black nylon and metallic silver accents. A strip of the upper directly above the midsole is embossed with a crater-like pattern and a moon boot-evoking silver midsole completes the vibe. While we’re uncertain as to the exact date, the moon landing was July 21, 1969, so we expect them during the summer. Stay tuned to Sneaker News for updates. via Colmilludo

Nike Air Force 1 2009 NFL Pro Bowl

Back in mid-February Nike dropped so many dope kicks and exclusive colorways for the NBA All-Star Game, that this fresh Air Force 1 nearly slipped under the radar.

The Nike Air Force 1 2009 Pro Bowl was only available to a select players at the NFL Pro Bowl game in Hawaii. Along with a multi-toned blue color combo, this AF1 features the date of this years game stitched into the inner ankle, while the outer ankle receives the Hawaiian Islands. To finish it off Nike applies the translucent treatment to the midsole with a visible Air unit. Unless you’re really gettin’ your hustle on, you’ll probably never get your hands on these promo only kicks.

Nike SB Dunk High Premium - “Gucci” - Holiday 2009

In 2006 the Nike SB team created two shoes as a part of a team manager series and Girl Skateboards created this “Gucci” inspired Dunk High Premium that featured a Black, Green, and Red colorway that used a mixture of both denim and premium leathers. The other shoe that was a part of this team manager series was the notorious Nike x Diamond Supply Co. “Tiffany” Dunk Low. Due to the fact that Girl Skateboards is a part of Crailtap, who also has footwear company Lakai under their portfolio of brands, the project was nixed and only about 30 pairs of these shoes made their way outside of the Nike headquarters. Now a couple years later, Nike SB will bring the shoe back in it’s original colorway and materials as a Quickstrike release scheduled for the Holiday 2009 season. via Kenlu

Air Jordan Force XIII (AJF 13)

It was only a matter of time. The Air Jordan Dub Zero got the hybrid ball rolling and the Six (6) Rings focused solely on the kicks MJ rocked whilst marching toward the Larry O’Brien Trophy. In between, a whole line of hybrids mashing various Air Jordans into the Air Force 1 emerged as the Air Jordan Force series. Both the Dub Zero and Six Rings featured the Air Jordan XIII’s triangular side panels and that model is finally being ‘Forced’.

The Air Jordan Force XIII (AJF13) appears here in early artists renderings, having yet to emerge in sample form. AJ fans will recognize them as the regular season home colourway, the Flint Grey All Star do-up that graced the latest Six Rings that released today and the playoff palette worn in the 1998 tourney’s road games. All three feature the aforementioned golf ball-inspired side panels and two of the three have dimpled straps. Other notable design elements include the outer heel hologram inserts

A ‘Nike Air’ logo on the formerly soft elastic, now suede/leather upper heel and a two-toned AF1 sole divided by the pod-like design on the AJXIII bring the design together. Stick with Sneaker News and we’ll keep you up to date with the latest pictures and release info.

Superkix - Introducing the 1st search & discovery Engine for Authentic Sneakers

Superkix (www.superkix.com), the only search engine for authentic sneakers, is now publicly available. For the first time, consumers can search inventory by size, updated continuously from 45+ leading online retailers and discover new styles set to debut using a consolidated and ranked feed from the 20+ most authoritative sneaker bloggers.

Superkix maintains a database of shoe inventory and meta-data that is updated using proprietary data extraction technology. Because many online retailers don’t offer search by size, search across multiple sites represents a significant functional improvement for shoppers. Registered users can rate shoes, save them to a wish list and choose to be notified via email when a specific style becomes available in their size.

Whereas larger shopping engines are designed to solve more generalized retail complexities, Superkix was built to support intricacies of the sneaker niche. Search keywords can include colorway, nickname (aka) and product SKU.

To celebrate the beta release, Superkix will be holding a sneaker treasure hunt and giveaway in mid-March. Registered users will have the chance to win Nike SB What the Dunks and a variety of other limited edition pairs. To be notified about the sneaker giveaway, register now at www.superkix.com.
