LA Gear MVP - Air Jordan IV Rip-Off

Nowadays, more than ever before, sneakerheads must be very wary of fake sneakers being passed off for big bucks. In the case of the LA Gear MVP, no one will be fooled into thinking they are actually Air Jordan IV’s, but they are close enough that they might as well be selling them out of the back of a Canal Street bodega instead of calling them their own style. In an effort to bottle the nostalgia from their late 80’s/early 90’s hey-day, LA Gear has chosen to adopt some very recognizable attributes of one of the all-time greatest sneaker designs. While many other companies have paid obvious tributes to aspects of some classic Jordan models, the LA Gear MVP flagrantly tries to pass it off as their own.

Both Nike and Reebok have already sued LA Gear for ripping off their designs back in the early 1990’s and it appears that their lawyers should begin prepping for a follow-up. LA Gear, who’s Catapult sneakers were a not-so-subtle version of the Reebok Pump, are no strangers to “improving” on other brands’ success. We know that they are only trying to get some buzz back for their shoes, but sneakerheads in the know will never fall for this weak attempt. If you are not swayed by any of this and are only interested in where you can cop the LA Gear MVP, you can pick up a pair at sportiela and pretend they’re real Air Jordans. Via theshoegame.

Puma R698 Mesh - Red - White - Pink

Puma’s R698 model has enjoyed a nice resurgence thanks to the buzz surrounding the upcoming Solebox version and what better time could there be to start dropping new colorways. This new version features a red leather/mesh upper with some tasteful white and pink accents. Additional style touches are added to the shoe by way of a hexagon pattern that covers the pink heel panel and a speckled design on the Puma logo stripe. Besides just looking fresh, the Puma R698 is also a functional and lightweight running model that features Puma’s Trinomic sole system to ensure optimal comfort. These kicks will be limited in quantity, but MajorDC has some in stock right now, so don’t sleep.

Puma Clyde Breakpoint Collection

Just before the turn of the year, we got a glimpse at this new pack in full. It contains six pairs, three of each style. While the Steppers have yet to be spotted, the Puma Clyde Breakpoint Collection has released. Featuring three pairs of the classic design, these joints feature a mix of suede with whtie perforated leather on the eyelets and tongue. These lowtops are available in purple, green or black now from mita sneakers.

Nike Blazer Low - Black - Trail’s End Brown - Gum

With so much attention paid to the Nike Blazer High and Mid these days, it seems like not too much love is being given to the low model. Thanks to a nice color scheme and some stylish touches, this Blazer Low has a good chance of getting some second looks though. The shoe features a black upper with a light brown Swoosh and accents. The toe section, eyelet panel and lining are constructed from smooth black leather with the remainder of the upper made from suede. The defining aspect of these kicks is the midsole, which sports a black maze-like pattern all over the brown base with a gum toe-cap finishing off the sole. This shoe is evidence that the Nike Blazer Low model needs to start popping up more often, but for now, you can cop a pair of these on eBay. Via SucreamUSA.

Nike Vandal Hi Supreme Ex Rock’N'Roll

Last year the Rock’N'Roll pack released in black, it is back this season in white. We present you the Nike Vandal Hi Supreme Ex Rock’N'Roll. It comes with a white upper and silver accents on the tongue tab and the strap, as well as a matching silver metallic sole. The sneaker is now available at The Good Will Out.
