Nike Womens Air Digs - Spring 2009

Towards the end of last year, we showed you an interesting Nike Retro release for the ladies, the Air Digs. The shoe was originally released in 1991 as a volleyball shoe, but thanks to its old school look and the current high-top renaissance, they seemed like a good fit for a re-release. This pair takes the shoe to a new level of street style, incorporating an overwhelming dose of color and patterns to make it stand out from the pack. Surrounding the white mesh underlay and black base is an explosion of color, using shades of purple, pink and turquoise on various textured sections of the upper, as well as a bright orange lining and laces. As far as wild colorful styles go, sneakers don’t get much more flamboyant than these. If any of you ladies are bold enough to flaunt these down the street, and we know you’re out there, you can cop a pair now at Standard.

Nike Air Force 1 Supreme SP - Black - Purple - Huarache

Yesterday, we showed you a new Black/Mean Green Air Force 1 that was inspired by the Air Huarache and now we bring news of another colorway that takes the theme a step further. This Air Force 1 Supreme borrows another familiar Huarache colorway, using premium purple leather from the mid panel and eyelet section moving back towards the rear of the shoe. The mudguard and toe box contrast the deep purple hue with a rich untreated black leather. The shoe also features a white Swoosh and a purple midsole with white stitching and accents. A translucent outsole allows the heel Air section to peek through and also displays a Nike Huarache logo on the bottom of the sole. The Air Huarache logo is also used for the tongue label, similar to the blue/green and white on white Air Force 1/Air Huarache hybrids that have already been previewed. Unfortunately, these are currently only available in the U.K. and through NikeStore Europe, but we’re hoping that they will make their way Stateside. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date on any breaking news of a U.S. release.

Nike Womens Vandal High - Metallic Silver - Yellow

Nike has some real treats for the ladies this season, already dropping numerous fresh styles in women’s sizes and with many more waiting in the wings. One of the latest models to hit stores is this extra-flashy Metallic Silver Vandal High. The shoe features a super-shiny silver material on the entire upper, giving the shoe a bold look that still maintains some simplicity thanks to the solid color scheme. Aside from the white midsole and ankle strap, the only other accent color comes by way of the pale yellow laces, which add a nice touch of color to the mix. If you girls want to make a memorable fashion statement this spring, you can pick up a pair of these now at Standard.

Nike Hypermax - Charles Barkley Air Max2 CB 34 Inspired

Above is one of the first colorways to release of the Hyperdunk for the big man, the Hypermax inspired by a player who was so tenacious in playing over his height down on the block that he earned the moniker ‘The Round Mound of Rebound’. Featuring an image of his Air Max2 CB 34, this Hypermax captures ‘Sir’ Charles Barkley’s irreverent persona with the proclamation, “So technologically advanced, you won’t understand it.” The upper is a nice combination of grey, black and red with a bright yellow and blue highlight the rest of the sneaker. Look for these starting now at Nike Basketball retailers everywhere we found them on eBay. Via Shaolin8

Ubiq Fatima SL

Ubiq presents the new Fatima SL, a very clean high top version of their popular Fatima sneaker. It comes in black, white and brown, and features a clean leather upper. The ankle padding comes in a mesh cover and the flap features a plaid lining. Once again a solid release from the Japanese brand. These are now available at Atmos.

Nike Womens Dunk High - Metallic Silver - Turquoise - Snakeskin

The ladies have had quite a few Dunk High releases to sink their teeth into as of late, and this new colorway promises to be among the flashiest of the current batch. If the words metallic snakeskin don’t grab you, we don’t know what will. This Dunk High uses a relatively simple color scheme that is livened up by some pretty flashy materials. The shoe features several materials on the upper, from the mesh side and ankle panels to the nubuck toe box and tongue, but the show stealer is of course the metallic silver synthetic snakeskin that covers the mudguard, heel and eyelet sections. This Dunk also sports a turquoise Swoosh and a white midsole with light grey used on the outsole and laces and also boasts Zoom Air technology for improved comfort. If you are out to make a statement this spring, you can find these head-turners now on eBay. Photos: 95Soleman / ShaolinKickz
